Water-fed pole vs traditional window cleaning
How the two methods differ, and when each one is the right choice.
Short answer: water-fed pole cleaning uses purified water pumped through a long pole to clean glass and frames from the ground. Traditional cleaning uses a squeegee and applicator by hand. Both have a place — professional cleaners use each where it works best.
How water-fed pole cleaning works
Tap water is filtered to remove the minerals that leave spots. The purified water is pumped up a lightweight pole to a soft brush, which scrubs the glass and frames. Because the water is pure, it dries clear without leaving marks, and no squeegee is needed.
How traditional cleaning works
An operator wets the glass with an applicator and removes the water with a squeegee, finishing edges with a cloth. It’s ideal for ground-floor glass, internal windows and shop fronts where a crisp, detailed finish matters.

Is water-fed pole cleaning as good as traditional cleaning?
Yes, when done properly. Purified water dries without spots and the brush cleans frames too. Traditional cleaning is still preferred for internal glass and detailed shop-front work.
Why doesn’t water-fed pole cleaning leave streaks?
The water is filtered to remove dissolved minerals, so nothing is left behind on the glass when it dries.
